This vintage  is called "Christmas is for Children" and features a girl in a red dress and a green bonnet holding a white cat while sitting in a swing. The sides of the ornament have real string so she can swing back and forth. This ornament was first issued in 1979 and was reissued in 1980.

The girl's face looks like a painted wooden bead and has very simple features: brown hair, brown eyes, and cheeks. She wears red and white striped tights and brown Mary Janes or bar shoes. The back of the swing has a heart-shaped cutout and the sides and back have red and green folk art patterns. There's a gold loop at the top where an ornament hanger or string can be attached.

The ornament is in good vintage condition. The back is marked "Hallmark Cards, Inc."

Hallmark also released some lapel pins with the same .
